Three Cars (single)

Three Cars 03:38
Three beautiful cars parked side by side in his drive, number plates with his name and he's running on empty all the same He is working so hard that when he's home he can not really hear what his children say, he can't see his own wife's face. Did he sell his soul so he could buy it back somewhere down the track? How could he delude himself that it works like that? Did he see a hole, some empty space, and fill it up with cash? Woe on him, I guess, woe on them, oh yes, oh yes My sweet Corolla, when it failed and they towed it away I took a few last photos and watched it fade. It carried me places and kept me alive and I sighed as he raced down that dappled summer evening deathtrap drive. Nowt more to life than what we own? But never have I seen such a cliché till I saw how the more he had the more he seemed alone
